Upload fees were introduced to the eCMID System in 2018 to facilitate ongoing development, maintenance and support of the eCMID system and have been unchanged over the past five years. In light of cost pressures, fees will be updated from 1 January 2023 to £60 for an eMISW upload and £120 for an eCMID upload (plus VAT where applicable). Fees can be pre-paid (see our user guide), with pro forma invoices at the current rates valid for thirty days.
In recent years, significant investments have been made, including:
- the current eCMID Inspection App, which is browser-based and can be used and even installed on all kinds of device from desktop PCs and Macs to Android and iOS smartphones.
- an Analytics Hub, providing real-time insight into common findings that can be addressed by inspectors, vessel operators (who can perform a fleet-specific analysis) and IMCA committees, through development and promotion of improved and updated guidance
- an upgraded eCMID Helpdesk and new online support guides
- a new quality assurance review process to provide constructive feedback both to the inspector community and to IMCA, for further improvement to the inspection templates and platform, all while increasing the assurance to vessel operators and their clients of high-quality inspections being undertaken.
Our development roadmap will keep improving the system on behalf of industry in the coming years, with your feedback always welcome to shape these improvements.
